SAMS DSS App (for Ethiopian beekeepers)

Purpose of the app

This app was developed for the beekeepers in Ethiopia. The beekeepers have been requesting to access the information produced by the SAMS hives. We designed a simple mobile app to show the info about their hives (weight, temperature and humidity).

For this app development, we used the standard SAMS DW to provide the hive data for the mobile APP. This feature enables anyone who has created an account in the standard SAMS data warehouse to use the mobile app monitoring the activity of their registered Hives on the SAMS data warehouse.

Currently, the app has Four main activity pages:

1. The first one is the login page which is required once to login to a new device and not needed after login on the same device.

2. The second page is the apiary page which displays the list of apiaries and highlight info about the apiary registered by the account used to log in. (screenshot below)

3. The third page is the hives page which lists the hives in a particular apiary. (screenshot below)

4. The fourth page is the hive details page which displays the hive data for the beekeepers. (screenshot below)
